That’s right: Make your own Meowth Mashed Potatoes

The Nerdist try their hand at making their own Meowth Mashed Potatoes from the recently released Pokémon Cookbook.
Despite 2016 being a big year for Pokémon, what with the 20th anniversary, the announcement of plans for the first live action film, starring Detective Pikachu, and the release of the new main series games, Sun and Moon, one of the things that have gone under the radar is the Pokémon Cookbook.
Along with Pikachu, Meowth is one of the most easily recognizable Pocket Monsters in the series, mostly because of Team Rocket’s loquacious and loveable sidekick in the anime.
Thanks to the Pokémon Cookbook, you can make your own, edible Meowth with something as simple as Mashed Potatoes.
The Nerdist article includes the ingredients for the recipe, which you can read here

WHAT THE HECK. How cool. It reminds me that I need to use my flareon cookie cutter given to me last year. XD

    I vote... no.

I get this weird sensation whenever I start cutting or digging into some character's body or face, whether it's something like this or an image on a birthday cake. :P

I like the way the whole Meowth looks as opposed to just the head.

In the meantime, I looked at the cookbook on Amazon and from reading the reviews, it seems like it's mostly a guide on how to arrange the food to look like Pokemon, not necessarily how to prepare the food in the first place. Hmm...

Cute, but those ingredients are cringe af. I may make a sculpture out of mashed taters, and maybe the cheese slice, but other than that no thank you. Cauliflower makes me want to commit seppuku

Yes. A lot of traditional japanese cuisine (mainly sushi and similar types of food) focuses VERY much on presentation...so the fact that this is a thing really isnt much of a surprise tbh
