Yeah it was a bit crazy. I basically just spent all my free time reading (and on PXR) that year. xD I went to the library every week to get new books. It was pretty fun, actually. I've never done a speed reading course, but I've always been a very fast reader, which definitely helped. I can easily knock out a 300 page book in one sitting if it's interesting. If I actually sit down to read, then I can do it for hours, so I could knock out 2-3 books in a day sometimes, and then none for the rest of the week haha. I think it's a pretty cool resolution if you like reading, even if you start off a bit smaller depending on how fast you read, what kinda books you like reading and how much time you have! It saves you from sitting around being bored or not knowing what to do cos you always have some reading to do. :D
I think that's my problem with exercise. I want it to be fun, but at the current moment, the only thing that seems to be available are just repetitive workouts that get so boring so fast. I've tried team sports, but that didn't work out that well and it was very expensive to join up with other people.

And wow... that's a TON of reading! I think I've only done that much reading when Harry Potter books came out. Otherwise, I can't really get that immersed into a book to the point where I can read loads of pages in one go. I've read a lot of great fantastic books, but I haven't found a series that possessed me to the point where I couldn't put the book down until it was done.

Yeah, team sports are pretty expensive which is lame. :/ I've tried running but I hate it so much. I still do it but ehhh I'd much rather play sports to stay fit since I actually LOVE them. Now it's summer so I feel like it's too hot to do anything anyway. xD

That's fair enough! I get caught up in books really easily, which probably helps a lot! The only time I stay up late these days is if I really wanna keep reading haha.

Around here, a few months of a team sport like kickball or volleyball will set you back around $80 USD, which is a LOT just to play with other people. And to me, playing kickball wasn't much exercise at all. Most of time we were just standing around waiting for our turn or standing in the outfield waiting for the ball that might roll our way only once every so often. And yeah, I'm not a big fan of running either. I certainly don't think I've ever seen someone running while wearing a smile on their face! XD

Running is too intense to do with a smile. xD I used to love running sports as a kid, because it was about the only kind of sport I could do decently. Team sports destroyed me cause no one ever passed me the ball, haha. I was excellent at hurdles, sprint and long distance running. But damn was I exhausted after all of that. Wheezing like mad. XD

I used to be more into swimming back in high school, but now, the only pool I have access to has a huge membership fee and I'd end up having to share lanes with other people.

And sharing swimming lanes is TERRIBLE. It means constantly hitting the barrier (and it hurts!) and being held up by slower swimmers ahead of you or bumping into them because you or they went too much off to the side. It's great exercise, but this ends up being really pesky.

Yeah I was paying $12 per game for netball last year. And the actual court time was only 4 x 8 minutes. o_O Pretty ridiculous. I really like cycling over running. Running is just so slow compared. xD And way harder haha.

Oh, I was god awful at swimming as a kid. Maybe because I was so short I could never touch the bottom of the pool when we had lessons so I was always terrified I would drown, even with adults there. D:

I totally love swimming now, though. But I don't think I could do it as a sport. I still hate water all up in my face lol. And sharing lanes with other people...yeah. I remember this one time I was at the pool I was doing some swimming under water, and I went to come up for air and this stupid little kid swam right over the top of me and ended up forcing me under again, so I came up all spluttering and choking. Kids... >:c

Ah, I forgot about cycling! That can be fast and fun as well. I would WAY rather go cycling than running. You clear way more distance and it's honestly a lot more fun to go faster.

Yeah, choking on chlorinated water sucks. It just burns your throat and nostrils. XP

During my senior year of high school, we had the choice of playing outdoor volleyball or swimming. I was already on the swim team, so I figured why not? Most people thought the pool was gross or they didn't want to have to take showers and get changed, so I was the ONLY one who picked swimming. As a result, I had the ENTIRE pool all to myself for that morning class! No lane lines either. That was such bliss. Oh my goodness, I wish I could have that all the time. I even got to use the small canoe that almost no one ever got to use and that was great!

Haha I don't like swimming at all but that does sound pretty cool. I've been canoeing on rivers and lakes before, it's pretty awesome. Would love to go again sometime!

Canoeing on a river is awesome. We went for ten miles (about 16 kilometers) during the same camping trip I told Xanthe about and it was a blast. I'm also glad we had such great weather during that weekend. :3
