I was all like "what is chroma?" before I realised you meant saturation. XD I've never heard it being referred to as chroma before. And I've never really taken an extensive colour theory class. xD However, I did learn most of this in school many years ago, but I'm pretty sure I've forgotten. :p Thanks for the refresh, Neko!
That ugly yellow-green sucks, though, so I find I tend to lean towards blues or purples when I got to shade Pikachu stuff. Unless I stick with pastel colours cause I love me some pastels.
I've been meaning to try going full tonal in works before I start blocking in colour -- since I work much better with grey scale. Haven't quite gotten to it yet, though. xD I've heard it's a lot better for newer artists to work that way because BEFORE they even think about "OH MY GOD WHAT AM I GOING TO DO FOR COLOUR?!" they can just focus on the light and shades within a piece.
