What's Your Favorite Holiday?

Everyone looks forward to holidays, some more than others. Whether it's the ghouls and goblins that come with Halloween or the endless supply of delicious dishes that come with Thanksgiving, we all have a particular holiday that holds a special place in our heart. So, I'm curious...

What's YOUR favorite holiday?

I'd say mine is Christmas. I personally love the joyous atmosphere that comes with it, the idea of giving, and of course, Christmas movies.

We don't really celebrate Halloween here. I mean sometimes little kids might go around at night, but you're lucky if anyone has anything to hand out. I think most people ignore kids on purpose. xD At least in the neighbourhoods I'm usually from. My old friends used to have costume parties and then go to clubs and such (no thanks), but that's about it. I wish we actually celebrated it more. D:

Christmas no doubt. The cooler weather, the holiday music, the movies, decorations, seasonal everything Christmas. I love it all! It, to me, really is the most wonderful time of the year.

Christmas! I don't think a lot of the other holidays are really a big deal here xD I have also grown fond of Easter. While studying the last few years it was the only time I had off besides a few days at Christmas xD

When I work right up to Christmas day it's hard to get into the spirit a bit, especially since my work doesn't really do much Christmas stuff. Still my fave tho.

Okay so actually it's Halloween though Cinco de Mayo and Fourth of July are close seconds. I really love being able to get into a costume and for a day just be someone else! It's like being in a play with no written script! I'm not a huge Christmas person due to the fact that it's rather stressful for me with my family. Prior to this year I always had to study over the holidays so half the time I didn't even get to play with my stuff (not to mention one time my mother actually cancelled Christmas because I didn't want to work on a paper). And this year was better except every time she saw me playing Sun and Moon my mom was breathing down my neck about doing something productive. So nevertheless, it's not actually my favorite holiday. It's probably not even in my top five.

Aw, that's a bummer. Halloween is such a unique and enjoy time of year! It's cool how it's dedicated to horror, but it's fun and quirky at the same time, so there's no bad vibe that surrounds it.

I agree! It's just got that feeling. Also, it helps that I received A LOT of gifts when I was younger. Everything from Pokemon to Toy Story.

But seriously, Halloween is awesome. I'm with you. I love dressing up, although I don't get the opportunity to do so EVERY year. I've actually made it tradition to visit Horror Nights at Universal Studios, which I find to be extremely fun.

My family kind of ruined it for me. I love getting free stuff as much as the next person and the feeling of giving is great but... well see the explanation above.

I wish I could do that! I've always wanted to visit Scarowinds because I live close enough if I had a car i could probably do it. One day.
