Ugh I agree with Neo. I wish I knew more medical stuff so I could help somehow too. You've probably searched a ton already but if you want to try google scholar, you can use it to find medical journals and stuff and see if you can find any studies relating to similar symptoms as what you've experienced. I would expect doctors to check this sort of stuff, and I don't know how much they would listen to patients who brought in info about their own diagnosis, but who knows.
