If it's a flying type, yes. Things like ground type traps, such as a collapsing floor, won't even lay a scratch on you because you'd be able to fly to safety as the floor collapses.

It won't overcome a ^Large Pokemon^ condition mainly because while that may involve a high up shelf or ledge, there's not enough room to fly, such as a location inside.

Levitate also comes into play if the Pokemon has it (it's the only Pokemon ability put into action in the Stalkers RPG because some Pokemon completely rely on it).

Geez, I could have sworn Mega Altaria would at least have Levitate.

Yeah, sorry to say, but by dropping Flying for Fairy, you become subject to ground type traps, but on the bright side, you're resistant against the Fairy type ones. I guess it does balance itself out.

Well, you're still in the clear at least. Archen may not be able to FLY, but it can keep itself aloft long enough to avoid taking ground-type damage.

I'm not sure, but wouldn't the air closer to the ground be just as bad if not worse? :O

After discussing things with Neo, we've come to the conclusion that allowing pokemon with wings to fly, although makes sense, also means we would have to let pokemon who know Surf to access the water areas without the required gear or being water-type, and at that point we have to keep allowing for exceptions and it'll get too complicated, sadly. :c

Sorry to all those who have wings but aren't flying types. :ccccc
