I've already done an action this round, but next round I can postpone my searches to do a rescue in the morning.

I'm sorry, Carly... But even if we can't rescue you tonight, you'll be able to escape tomorrow!

On the subject, I propose a new rule - no one with 2 or less Sanity, or without the Security perk, goes exploring until their Sanity is restored. I'm not blaming Carly for her predicament, it's just too risky.

At the risk of being cowardly, I'm going to protect Pormalu again this evening. I don't even want to think about what would happen if we need him and he's gone. Tomorrow I'm going to escort Rabukan. I'm starting to get worried that we're going to run out the clock no matter what.

This has been my worry as well, that we'll run out the clock on murders before we even figure out who half the murderers are.

...I only really just realized this now as I didn't really read over the post (and can you blame me?), but apparently Carly was also 'abducted' by the Stalkers, which seems separate from the Berserk state. I say this specifically because, well, let's put it this way: Abductions were not mentioned in the team rules. We could only rescue from the Berserk or Downed states. Unless that's just additional flavor text...

That just cannot be good.

Well, that's actually where the Rescue/Escape component comes into play. Stalker Abduction is exactly what you're escaping or what you're rescuing another Emissary from when the Rescue/Escape action is made. When your Health or Sanity drops to 0, you don't just lay there. The Stalkers find you and that's exactly what starts the building toward Dark Event #2: The Enthrallers Compromise the Mission.

This is where the Rescue/Escape action has to be made and is more than a situation where someone just needs to Rest off the injuries/insanity or use berries/first aid. Only after the Rescue/Escape can they start the recovery process.
