OK, I've been away for a while, mostly due to frustration. Needed to step away.

Yes, this game has been frustrating for me on some level. Mostly just due to the delays in getting responses out. I understand the reasoning behind why it takes a while-no need to do further justifications to me. I also understand the intention behind the format but the platform it was released on is, from experience, one that absolutely demands speed as a virtue. In, say, a board game, this wouldn't be nearly as bad. Then again, I may just be impatient, terribly impatient. Either way, however, I kind of see a lot of design choices that slow down the pace of the game to sluggish levels... And if it doesn't feel like progress is being made... Well.

I can't do anything other than rest right now, in the night round anyways. Submissions over. In any case, can someone get me up to speed on what's been done? (I've seen Fern's death post.)

I'm not sure how much you missed, but to sum up, we have 3 main stalkers under investigation.

Philter - confirmed that we only need one more thing (laptop password) to get the last piece of evidence. It was hinted that the evidence may be at the Newhill Sewage Treatment Plant, so this round we knocked out a lot of searching there.
Extol - we have a survivor of this stalker who was doing research on her before he was attacked (Uru the Sudowoodo). We have spoken to him and collected some of his evidence but need keys which have been hinted to be at his workplace at Valcon Glassworks to unlock them. Have started the search there, and also searching his apartment.
Oblivion - a few eye-related things have come up in searching/interviewing, and we unlocked his locker but it just contained an eye... we haven't got too much further on this one.

I've been trying to keep track of all the stuff we need to do and then throwing out ideas during each round for those who want suggestions. I've been focusing on Philter and Extol for now as well as any more Stalker intel we can get from other Pokemon. :) There's still a lot of things we need to follow up on.

Neo and Xanthe have already admitted it's possible they made the game too big and that Round 3 would be smaller. I, for one, am enjoying the slower pace. In story telling it helps draw out suspense, which this is certainly doing. Plus, one of the main reasons I dropped out last time was because I got swept under the current of the story moving too quickly and people dominating everything. I really think this is comparable to a board game, so I think if you just take a step back for a moment and realize that Neo has a job, Xanthe has a job, most of the players have lives outside the internet, and that we can't all constantly be on pandering to the needs of Stalkers, then you'll realize that having complaints like this isn't helping anyone.

Sarah already gave the explanation of what needs to be done, so I won't add anything. She's done a great job of keeping a nice neat list so nobody feels left out. I just thought I'd give my two cents because I'm just a little tired of watching you complain about this when Neo and Xanthe worked so hard on it.

Yeeeep. Stalkers will definitely continue. Xanthe and I have just been extraordinarily busy lately. I started a new job, my brother gets married tomorrow, and I've never been this far away from boredom before. Xanthe's job has been busy also and she's got loads of other things going on.

We just need some time to get refreshed with LIFE and we'll get things moving along again.

So I was going through the front posts to upadate my "Places that need items/types" list, and I realized at some point we uncovered a key for the Macanan textiles storage room, but never went to go see what was inside it. Clearly somethings there, or we wouldn't have needed to find the key, so maybe one or two people could look through the lower floors of the textile plant to find it? The top floor needs some fire/ground types to get into some mysterious object as well.

I can escort a Ground-type there on the next cycle, unless something else very pressing comes up.

So apparently Mustle is a massive fraud. Poor Nairek.

Also, I don't think we entirely thought through Ovben's request all the way through in retrospect. They'll know it's us, for sure-only we could sneak around like that. We may need diplomacy to fix that hole in the future. Let's hope Ovben's quest reward is worth this, as all we were promised were tipoffs.

I'm honestly not sure if Diplomacy could even fix it. It said 'permanently' damaged, after all.
