OK, so, on Exorcism, I'm back with the answers: You need 3 points of Sanity at least to attempt it, and it will cost those three points. If you have 4, you'll have 1 Sanity left over. If you have 3, you're instantly Berserk. Either way, Exorcism requires an exceptional toll (as expected), which is good as we want to be extra-sure on who to choose.

...A reminder: If anyone attempts it on an innocent Pokemon, IT KILLS. Cannot stress it enough; Sin Purge, Exorcism, Assassination, all do not matter as far as the life of the Pokemon is concerned. Dead, dead, dead, and only one is wired to ignore innocents. If you go for an Exorcism, you'd better not be the only one extraordinarily sure of your mark being a Stalker.
