Resting does not heal status conditions. First aid is also useful for helping out teammates who can't afford to rest, need multiple health points restored in one turn, or if you have no healing berries. Resting is more for sanity. Having a perk that restores sanity would defeat the purpose of having sanity. Resting is also the only usable option when your health or sanity hits 0.

Like I get that you're frustrated, but don't forget Neo and I put months of work into it and we're dedicating our free time to this so people can have fun. Having a jab at it is a bit of a blow to us both. That being said, it's good to have feedback so things can be improved for round 3, but please try to be constructive about it. Trust me, you will flat-out NEED first aid to actually complete the game.
