Oh, yeah, Madder's not on the table. Three sanity is not a fire I want to play with. I was saying that between Laura and I, one of us will have to have a role that we were going to play tomorrow, replaced. Someone needs to use Diplomacy on Caagu, or get a good rapport with them, and only after that will someone be able to Escort Caagu to that lock we want to take them to. I've got a bee (Beedrill?) in my bonnet about getting this done tomorrow because I don't feel like Caagu getting killed, which will make opening that lock cost more turns than it ought to, and I don't feel like having to waste a night action on protecting Caagu again.


TL;DR we need to queue up someone who's not Laura to use Diplomacy or get a good Rapport with Caagu right away tomorrow, or have Laura use Diplomacy on Caagu, have me do the exorcism, and have someone replace me on Escort duty.

I think we are in less need of Escorters than we are Diplomats (and push come to shove Laura can be an Escorter if she doesn't need to use Diplomacy), but with how few of us are left active, the honest truth is that we might as well consider Caagu's removal of those locks to be a multi-cycle process.

With that said, you should probably do the honors.

Sorry for the late reply, wasn't able to get on earlier. Do we still need me to do an interview to get the initial rapport? I have no issues going that route if so, but if not then I'll probably pick up the Udipheign mission since we know that one should lead to Stalker info.

This will allow you to talk an NPC Pokémon into using a Perk they have at a certain location or a Pokémon Attack. However, in order to do this, someone on the team would have had to either obtain a Rapport with them that is above neutral or someone with the Diplomacy Perk put that NPC into Compliant state. Also, you would have to know that NPC has the Perk available.

It sounds like we do need to have a rapport to start with. I'll admit, I didn't consider this before, but you're kind of a risky choice - your evolution stage dissonance might counterbalance your typing. And the Udipheign mission sounds really important...


Any second opinions here? I keep getting the feeling that there's a better way to do this, or that I'm missing something somewhere. And we haven't heard from all the Escort or Diplomacy people yet... ugh, this is complicated.

I don't think we need to have a rapport beforehand.

We put Bonnie the Nidoqueen into compliant with Diplomacy without ever talking to her before, so it shouldn't be a problem to use Diplomacy straight away. :)
