Finichi the Garbodor has been conclusively revealed as Philter. My current focus is on taking Philter off the map, and then getting the Fire/Ground lock at Macanan down in the next day cycle. The plan is to have someone use Diplomacy on/otherwise gain a positive Rapport with Caagu the Numel and then escort him to the Macanan lock. You have Diplomacy and Escort/Protect, which means that you can help. So far, the arrangement seems to be that Laura will use Diplomacy on Caagu. The idea was to send Katzu to Escort Caagu, but some posts from Neo and the fact that Katzu is on 3 Sanity (far from meager, and we haven't encountered any -3 Sanity things, but they've been caught before so better safe than sorry) have implied that sending Katzu to do the Escort might not be the wisest plan.


However, Aurimas, if you're active, that changes the equation a bit. Laura could use Diplomacy on Caagu and then you can Escort them, since you're 100% healthy in both body and mind. @azura evley, @LKWayvern, thoughts? Bear two things in mind: 1, this is time-dependent. Whoever Escorts Caagu must do so after he is Compliant or a positive Rapport has been attained. Meaning that if you were to Escort Caagu, you would have to post after Caagu's interview is submitted by the interviewer, but before the deadline. 2, we are perfectly able to switch roles here, having someone who's not Laura (like you, if you wanted) use Diplomacy on Caagu, then have me Escort Caagu and allow Laura to Exorcise Philter. Madder could just go take care of Philter, but with 3 Sanity, that's not happening.


We could technically make this a two-cycle process, but I'd rather not. Doing so would risk Caagu getting killed in the interim, or bind up a Protector for a night who could otherwise be doing something else (searching or Protecting more valuable Stalker targets).

So I've settled on talking to the skrelp, I want to know about:

Whether he himself knows how to make traps and if he knows who else does (or who taught him if he does know)
The trap in the windstone housing complex (hopefully he'd have an idea who made it)
Location of the other bunnelbys (and possibly why they locked them up)
The bleach they threatened one of the bunnelbys with (possibly where/who he got it from)
Information on his two partners-in-crime

I think that's it? I don't think I'm missing anything.

That might be too much. There seems to be an unspoken limit on how much information you can dig up from one interview at one time. But I say go for it-if nothing else he'll reveal some of those things.

I've shared all my thoughts on the matter.
Actually, here's one I just had:
Whenever the day changes, whoever gets to the Main Thread first with Diplomacy should probably post the action, if it's really that time-sensitive.

Amia, sounds fine. I know that Xanthe - er, the Flareon, likes effort put into interviews, and Neo - er, the Emolga is probably the same way.


It's not... completely time-sensitive. Like, if we don't get it done tomorrow, it won't break us, I'll just protect Caagu again tomorrow night so that we can use him. I just don't want to spend another night on him when I could be guarding more valuable townsfolk (and yes, I know that's cold, but we're limited). But yes, I agree, the first person with Diplomacy, or the first person with the possibility of an above-Neutral Rapport with Caagu (which I don't think is anyone but I might have missed somebody), should post as soon as they get the chance unless they have something else they absolutely must do.


Unless this plan would go off better with Laura taking the role, I'll fire off an Exorcism on Finichi first thing tomorrow morning.

Technically if you use an adrenaline syringe Aurimas could use diplomacy and escort him in one single turn.

There's no limit to the information given if questions are asked. If they aren't asked then that's when you'll get a limited response. So that's fine Morzone!
