@Noblejanobii : The little guy and his girlfriend are blue because of the song "I'm blue, da ba dee da ba da..." (Eiffel 65).
@Pokemon Trainer Sarah : The girl has a shiny Gyarados because it's an iconic shiny Pokémon, that's it.
@Suicune's Fire : Thank you very much for your useful advice! I am going to read Pokemon Alpha when I have more time.
@Soups : Shiny Snorunt is blue, female Snorunt can evolve quickly with an evolutionary stone, and Froslass is fast and able to learn interesting moves using TM's. A shiny female Snorunt was then a perfect Pokémon for my story, I think!
