Alright, guess I'll survey these abandoned buildings with extra caution... Since I know the Stalkers were here, let's see if I can find any clues.

Search (8) Shalerich Apartment Building (Abandoned).

Both on the lookout for any clues regarding the Stalkers and also for Abgrew the Swinub's requested book, you begin to hover around the upper floors of the library in search of anything useful. Your teammates are handling the floors below you, but that's not to say that you won't find anything up here.

The books get dustier the higher you go. The subjects seem to be somewhat random, ranging from information on hobbies such as strikeball and ballroom dancing to factual reports and encyclopedias. You keep your eyes peeled as you hover about, ensuring you don't miss a thing as you wander down aisles and inspect every corner. It's too bad you can't just plug yourself into a computer and scan through the archives for Stalker clues, but at least you can do that for Abgrew's requested book--which is what you decide to do!

After scanning the digital archives, you fly over to the twelfth floor, where you scan the shelves until your eyes fall upon The Temperate War, which appears to be a book detailing events which took place many, many years ago. You know that in order to finish Abgrew's request and get the Oran Berry reward, one of the Emissaries will have to return the book to her before the time limit runs out.

You ensure you cover all the remaining floors before deciding that there is nothing else of relevance here.

Item [The Temperate War] has been added to the Team Inventory.

Ah! Wait! They said there's a secret to the town, right? I think I know EXACTLY where to look if I want to find a secret in the past of this town!
I'm starting with 30a! Floors 1-3 of the Silvercoal City Library! If anyone wants to help me scour the other floors, I'll gratefully accept any help! I'm a fast reader, but... This is a pretty big building...
You head into the Silvercoal City Library to start your search there. As you can see, the first floors of the library seem to be old and a lot of the books here have been around for many decades. But as you search the shelves, most of what you find seems to be normal and not out the ordinary. It seems quiet here, as most of the Pokémon of Silvercoal City have embraced online information sources, though there are a few things here that will never be replaced by the new technology.

There is some fascination behind a lot of the books and just how much there is to this world of Valdyne you have yet to see for yourself. However, just from the situation at hand, you remind yourself that there are other things that are much more of the essence right now.

It isn't until you get to the third floor that you sense something a little unusual. On this floor, there seem to be quite a few copying and communication machines, but the one that you feel drawn to the most seems to be a printer for Braille. While the printer itself doesn't seem usual, something besides it stuck between the Braille printer and a scanner machine catches your attention. You find a piece of paper, face-down on the dirty linoleum floor between the two machines. You pick it up and look at it:

You decide to hold onto it, feeling unusual vibes looking at it...

Item =Library Braille Note= has been noted in the Team Records.

Before you decide to leave, it seems something else has been left behind as well. You almost missed it, but it seems it was accidently kicked just under the Braille printer. When you use your paw to dislodge it, you slide it out and a key with a twisted cross emblem lays before you. You decide to take it with you...

Item [Twisted Cross Key] has been added to the Team Inventory.

After searching the rest of these three floors, you feel you've covered just about all there is to find here.

You get to the central floors of the Silvercoal City Library, picking up from where Laura left off. As with the lower floors, most of the books here are for reference and seem to be mainly old news and media archives from reports throughout Valdyne's history. As you go up and down the aisles, you feel like you could spend a lifetime here learning everything about Valdyne's past and still not get through everything. But nonetheless, you are impressed with how much potential knowledge there is to gain here.

When you get to the fifth floor, it seems many of the records, older films, and documentaries here are much older and seem to be on machines that have been obsolete for quite some time. You get into an area that seems to have been neglected until recently. Something unnerving seems to be here, but as you follow the pattern, you can tell someone or something was here recently in a corner of the fifth floor archives that seems to get neglected most of the time.

When you track down the site of the recent disturbances, you find an usual stone engraving, but when you place your hand on it, you feel completed to turn it over, and suddenly the disturbing AIL insignia on the stone p̦̟̘͎̜͉̞̦͡͠i͙̣̳̺͕̻e̶͙͔̮͘̕r̫̼͕̠̼c̷̜̜e̜͉̗̝̠̲̙̘͠ͅs̡̩̘ ̲̺̲ your mind and you feel a harshly unsettling and unnerving feeling from looking at it...

Carly has suffered 1 point of damage to Sanity.

You break away from the temporary, unnerving paralysis and take the [AIL Sigil] stone with you. You have a feeling it was never supposed to be here, nor does it belong here either...

Item [AIL Sigil] #Mesmerizing Presence# (Deals 1 point of damage to Sanity) has been added to the Team Inventory.

After seemingly reluctantly going through the rest of these floors, you decide you're done and there can't be anything left to find here...

As a Suicune, you are swift and efficient in bodies of water. The ocean is cool and refreshing on your skin, a sign that these parts are not as polluted as one might assume bordering a busy industrial city. You see some Pokémon and other aquamarine life swimming about; some of them gawk at you as you swim by, shocked to see a Legendary Pokémon in their presence. It's clear that some of them wish to approach you, but are too shy or believe you would not want to be disturbed.

You scale the coastline with ease, and there seems to be nothing close to the shore. However, the further out you get, the stronger an unsettling sensation washing over you becomes. It becomes darker and harder to see, but suddenly you spot an orb of light which draws you in. With each passing second, you feel like you're being dragged down to the bottom of the ocean by some mysterious force that must have something to do with this underwater glow. When you draw close enough, you can see the illuminated figure of a large structure. It appears to be in the shape of a Lanturn's head, and the light source comprises two large globes at the tips of its antennae.

The figure's triangular eyes, which are bright red on a regular Lanturn, have been violently scratched out with something. It could simply be vandalism, but it is unclear. Above where the mouth would be, there is an inscription which reads, 'Shrine of Perpetual Suffocation.' A stone ring encompassing the base of the head, which connects with the sand lining the ocean's bottom, contains several hollows which look like they are meant to hold objects.

You look to see if there is a way in. No matter what you do, however, you can't seem to activate anything. It appears as if whatever the holes are in the ring of stone, they need to be filled before anything of note can happen here.

{Shrine of Perpetual Suffocation: x10 Empty Slots} has been noted in the team records.

Just as you turn to leave, you begin to hear disturbing cries. No matter where you look, there is nobody to be seen this far out, and nothing you know of could produce such demonic screeches. The cries begins to get louder until they reverberate within your skull, feeling as if they're going to dice your brain into tiny portions, then rip them from your head slice by slice. Your body feels immobilised, and for a series of agonising seconds you're unsure if you'll ever be released.

Tazz has suffered 1 point of damage to Sanity.

The cries dissipate all at once, relieving your mind. You don't know what that was, but you get the feeling that if the next person who comes along doesn't have the means to disarm it, they'll suffer all the same experience.

You leave the shrine and search the rest of the bay without disturbing the residents of either underwater apartment buildings, and conclude that there is nothing else worth taking note of in these parts.

Lita is unsure where to begin--the sheer size of the city boggles her mind.
Everyone has a dream that fills their heart. A journey they must take. A destiny to fulfill. As close as your imagination exists a magical place, where wondrous creatures with incredible powers help make dreams come true. It's the world of Pokemon!!"
