I'm happy with just the basics. Financial stability, even a small house and small comforts would be nice. Having a family isn't that important to me. Never was, so I don't foresee myself ever having that (not to mention I really couldn't afford having a family).

Like Neo I just want the basics, along with enough time for all my hobbies, and a few close friends. Oh, and my pets, of course.

I want happiness and peace most of all, and to bring happiness to those around me. I want to impact people's (and animals') lives positively and strive to not cause harm wherever possible. I want to accomplish goals and dreams and explore and travel, too.

I want to travel and broaden my view of the world. I also want a few close friends that'll always be there for me (as I am the same), and to spread my love of art/games to others wherever possible. I'd like a successful career in the field I love most of all, and to feel like I'm making an impact doing what I enjoy. Eventually I'll be content with settling into a small family.

With all the stuff that's gone on lately, I honestly don't know what I want out of life anymore. I think I...kinda did before I got married? But after I got married I just lost sight. Especially towards the end...it's funny, I honestly didn't realize how miserable I was during my marriage until I got out of it 2 months ago (well, via separation at least).

Right now, I'm just focusing on short-term goals. Save up enough money to move out of my parent's basement again and get a house somewhere relatively close to where I used to live. Try to spend more time with friends and have fun more because you missed out on that for a couple of years. Before I met...this guy, actually, I also had a goal that I would openly date and sleep with other people (safely, obviously) at my own discretion. It felt good being single and not having to worry about whether or not your husband was going to yell at you about some other menial, petty bull**** when he got home. That changed three weeks ago, though.

Storytime: I know this has nothing to do with the topic at hand, but I'm kinda on a roll so I'm just gonna go with it. xD I made a Tinder three weeks ago because I wanted to go out and date and such. Something I never had done before because in high school, I was so focused on finding a serious relationship because I took breakups too personally and was sick of getting heartbroken. Stupid reason, I know.... I went into Tinder not expecting to really find anything meaningful, but kept an open mind (for instance, if I really liked a guy and things got serious I wouldn't have been opposed to it). WELP. THAT HAPPENED EXACTLY. I actually found someone I really like and really want to get serious with, but now I know it's not merely for the sake of being with someone. I went into things with a casual, optimistic outlook and I think now I'm on my way to actually falling in love again...did NOT think that would happen again so soon. However, I have absolutely no positive feelings attached to David...he's actually been telling my friends and family I abused him. But...maybe I'll type up a blog post going over that stuff.

So yeah, I think I'll type up more of this story in a blog entry. TL;DR, I'm hoping this...thing I have with this guy can turn into something meaningful.

Is that wrong? I'm 24 and I don't know what I want out of life.

I don't think it's wrong. I think it's very common not to know, especially in your 20s as you're coming out of school where you kinda had a set path and now you have to figure out what you actually wanna do. I felt the same way so just kept studying. XD

Now I just finished after almsot 10 years at uni and still not really sure what I wanna do haha. If I could study more and get paid I probably would. :P But that's not really an option. Family-wise, I'm not sure if I ever want to have kids or not. I probably would one day if I could skip the pregnancy part, but as it is... ehhh. XD Goal-wise, I'd like to publish a book one day. It's been a dream of mine since I was young and I really hope I can manage it, even if it's when I'm 80 or something haha. I guess in the end, I'd like to feel I achieved something useful, but also enjoy life and have a good time.

This is so me. xD My parents joked that I'd be studying for the rest of my life, and I probably would if I got paid for it. Unfortunately I have to make do with a job in the real world. ;c
