    [Serious Discussion]Battle for the Net

So apparently the FCC wants to destroy net neutrality and give cable companies control over everything... Meaning they'd be able to block and censor whatever they want. The content would not matter. Multiple websites are banding together in protest.
I'm not very good at explaining things in detail, so here's the website with more information: https://www.battleforthenet.com/july12/

This crap AGAIN!? When will the FCC learn to give it up already?

All they're doing is inviting a hacker revolution.

Something similar is happening in the UK. It's worrying how much of a discussion this is becoming, when there is a blatantly correct answer and it's that censoring the internet is stupid in every possible way. Any argument for it is easily debunked. We're in 2017, for goodness sake, not 1984. :3

Yeah I've been seeing this a lot. It looks pretty bad :/ There was some kind of government feedback thing that was asking what people thought about net neutrality. And apparently there was a lot of controversy as cable companies were using bots to submit pro net neutrality messages under random people's names, and often the same message over and over, to make it look like everyone was for it. Pretty crazy!
