How long do they usually live?

3-5. I don't know why mine died early. Supposedly he died while I was at camp. My mom hated him though.

I had a goldfish once, but gave it to someone else to take care of. My brother got one too. We both gave them to that friend to care for. One died a few months after. The other lived for 2-3osh years. I forgot.

My brother and I had a hampster o xD too we took in from a very young age. It only live about a year. I think that thing was tortured most its life sadly. It was funny at the time, but as kids we were bad towards it ;0; Spun it in its little ball, gave it too many sunflower seeds to the point it's cheek was soooooo stuffed it literally had to bury them in its bed. It liked bathing in its own water bowl though xD. I swear though it...started acting odd later in its life (a year later). It wobbles a lot and feel off the top of its cage a lot. It could still getvaround...but I feel like maybe it went a little blind or something from the way it walked around and acted so clumsy. It's pretty sad it died young.

I got a guinea pig from a garage sale when I was 6 or 7. It only lived a couple months after we got it, sadly. No idea how old it was bit I was devastated even though we only had it for a short time.

Yeah, I had a devil of a hamster that would do a handstand just to pee outside of his cage. And that pee usually landed on my bed.

But yeah, that hamster was a demon. Loved to bite and make people bleed, he lived only to destroy whatever he could get his evil paws on, and had no love for anything or anyone. :c

And that was my only hamster for those reasons. And the pee. Even the pee smelled evil. XD

I've had nothing but cats my whole life. I had a dog once but that didn't last long.

People generally don't recommend getting a hamster as a pet in my experience. They're nocturnal and tend to gnaw through stuff a lot so they can be a bit feisty and destructive as well as keep you up all night.
