It's odd. Ever since 2007 I've started making friends all over the world. The wonderful World Wide Web has changed a lot. UK, Canada, Australia, Japan (though I've wanted to go there regardless xD) and even more all over the states. My friends in the states I've even got their numbers to text now. Though we barely get a change to chat anymore through texting only.

It's nice making friends from around the world though. It's always pushed me to want to visit there not only to see these friends I've made, but the country as well. It'd be odd though because not knowing my way around it, it'd make traveling around pretty tough. It's almost as if planning things with that friend would be the best idea to get around unless I had a travel agency help lol.
@Lunar Latias It can be hard when someone is shy yeah. Well it's less being shy here and more it's hard to find someone who (at least at this age now) to make friends that want or have time to hang out. Also assuming they like the same things (anime, manga, games like Pokemon, etc). Even back in the early school years it was pretty tough. I remember I only made one of my friends because they defended me from getting beat yup back in Second grade. Actually I was getting beat up, but they stepped in.

It's odd how someone may get around others, even their own friends when they find a "significant other." It's as if they would ignore everyone else just to show that person the best they think they can rather than taking the time just to slow down. You don't gotta ignore everything you used to do just to be with that person =3. That's not really how it all should go. In fact I'd think that would make things end up poorly.

Don't worry though Gemma, your doing something you enjoy at least! Drawing, anime, games and all, right? Gaming, anime, and manga are about it here as well =3 and this forum of course.
