Hahah, yeah. I love Pokemon Channel too! <3 STILL DO. :'D And yeah, I think the two games more or less existed in the same universe. Cobalt Coast, Viridian Forest, and Springleaf Field all make an appearance in both Pokemon Channel AND Hey You Pikachu. They're vastly different for the most part, but yeah. Still really cool. I love Ambrella and despite the lack of success, I really wish they'd do another Hey You / Channel-esque game. They're too busy racking in the cash with their Rumble Games, though...after two failed attempts at Pokemon games (Channel and Dash...though I love both of them, personally)

HOW WEIRD. Channel's Viridian Forest music just came on my iTunes. xD I love it too. I had a joke with my brothers to call your pikachu "My butt" so when he electrocuted the TV early in the game, the journal entry would read "My butt broke the TV!" xD Oh, there you go. Yeah same. It's kind of a giant minigame but it's awesome. Nice Cards tho. XDD "Deli? DELIII!" I liked Dash too actually. xD

Oh my god you've NEVER PLAYED HEY YOU PIKACHU?? WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR CHILDHOOD. But yes, except there was more you could do in HYP. It was, for the most part, freeroam. It was obnoxious at times though because in some areas, in order to reach new places Pikachu had to have gone there physically. And Pikachu was always a major ***hole because he wouldn't always listen to you and GAH UGH. But the game was so fun. I loved going to the big Springleaf Field area and having Pikachu eat all the fruits and stuff. xD

Hey You Pikachu was never released outside Japan and the US. Probably due to voice recognition reasons and different accents and such. I always wanted to play it. :(

I had no idea it was so similar to Channel, that's cool! I loved that game and played it so much. I used to write down what Pokemon I found everywhere, what time of day, what the weather was etc. Back when I used to write guides for my website lol! Good times. Such a cute game :D

Yeah :( My friend bought a copy online and had to hack his Australian N64 to play it xD It looked like fun but Pikachu hardly understood anything he said haha! I heard that the voice recognition wasn't great at the time which is why they didn't really pursue it. They could definitely do something like that now though! I hope they make more cute games like that for the Switch!

This, voice recog doesn't work because there are so many different accents, I'm guessing that at the time it was only cost effective to do the voice recog for the U.S. & Japan
