@Pokemon Trainer Sarah HOW DID YOU NOT HAVE MEXICAN UNTIL YOU WENT TO THE US?!?!? I love me some bean burritos and tacos! *0* Although I recently became intolerant to cayenne pepper which is in taco mix/sauce normally... :C So they haven't tasted the same since. ;o;
@Noblejanobii yeah it is a big thing here for sure. Mainly Maccas, Hungry Jacks (which is your Burger King; we had that for a bit and then it vanished xD), fish & chips (which is a UK thing), and some other generic ones. We do have a lot around...there's a Maccas in, like, every suburb. O_o It's disturbing.
@Suicune's Fire I don't know! Honestly we never went out for dinner when I was a kid and if we did, it was down to the pub for chicken nuggets haha. I'd never tried any ethnic (is that the right word) food until I was well into being an adult xD I stayed with my ex's family for a month in the US, I'm pretty fussy about food in general but I ended up loving all the Mexican food his mum cooked, which was lucky xD I would eat tacos and burritos every day if I could haha.
I've never had Chinese haha. I'm not sure what food would be Greek? Had plenty of Italian since my family is from near there. I could live on pasta xD Gnocchi is my fave! I've had Thai, that was good. Actually, I lied about the Chinese... One of my supervisors is from there and he took us out to a pretty traditional Chinese restaurant. Everyone shared everything but I didn't eat much cos I didn't know what anything was and it was pretty different to what I'm used to. There was lots of seafood and meat I don't like and something called a black egg pudding or something? Everyone was making a big deal out of that xD From memory it looked like scary black porridge but it was apparently nice. But I know Chinese stuff includes sweet and sour pork, and noodles that I would like. xD I'm not very brave about food haha. Do you have a favourite cuisine?
Kas worked at a Chinese restaurant up until last month, so I would get Chinese weekly. xD Sometimes several times a week. I got really sick of it, though, haha. My usual was garlic veggies & tofu with steamed rice but sometimes I'd mix it up and get fried rice, or get veggie tofu satay. I loooove noodles though. Could definitely live on them. xD There's a place in Knox called Nudle that does amazing satay, and it's only about $11. *0* I LOVE Indian too. Naan is amazing (especially garlic naan; yes, I love garlic) and I've had this amazing lentil curry which I'd love to have again sometime. I don't think I have one specific favourite, but I have a few favourites. c:
Yummy! Did Kas get to bring home leftovers and stuff? That seems like the best part of working in a restaurant! xD I like naan! And garlic! I love lentils too! My bf is veggie so I've been eating mostly veggie stuff and we tried to make lentil curry a while ago. It wasn't that good xDD gotta get the spices right haha. I really need to try noodles soon! Sounds yum!
