Me: So I've had surgery and won't be able to walk around for at least a week so I won't be able to come to the office until after that.
My Boss: Perfect! You'll have less distractions at home! Here's a new assignment for you to work on while you're stuck in bed.

It's mainly promotional stuff for my college. I can't show you any of the stuff I'm working on for legal reasons but we do stuff like this:

The assignment that I was just given that I can show you because it's not a poster or anything. My task is to take pictures that we have on a google drive and other resources of the latest prospects for the 2018 class and cut out headshots and body shots for future posters like the one you see above. So here is an example head and body shot that I've cut out:

It's not particularly difficult in theory except for the fact that for like half the list I don't actually have pictures for these guys and the internet is not always a good source for high res photos. So... yeah it's not been a fun task so far.

Yeah while I'm not very good with scratch art and banner making, I can edit pictures together and cut out stuff like there's no tomorrow. I even designed logos and a t-shirt for two clubs at my college. Sorry that the one dude's background isn't transparent it's supposed to be, but then again I just quickly converted them to pngs so that might be part of the issue. I'd give you examples of stuff I've actually done but since none of it has been released to the public yet, I'm pretty sure I can't show it. Maybe one day if my work ever shows up on a dude's twitter account I'll point it out.

I will definitely make a blog about it if it gets made public. A lot of our stuff just gets sent to potential recruits so we can't post it because they need to be the ones to do so. But if one of them posts it then it's fair game, in a sense.
