What a cool idea ArtFight is! It sounds like a great way to practice, as you said. Plus you get to receive some art of your characters in different styles which is always nice! It looks like it's been going on for many years :O How many people join in usually? Nice to see some cool events still exist out there!!
Hey, thanks! I like working with Paint Tool SAI, it's a great program and very fun and easy to work with. It's also a lot more merciful when it comes to correcting mistakes and making fixes and adjustments.

Yeah, that's the fun part about ArtFight, too! Seeing how people draw your characters in their style is a fun treat in itself. I'd say give it a try and see how you like it! You can take part as much or as little as you want, there's no expected commitment or pressure to participate.

For me, I'm pretty active the whole month from start to finish. It's easy to get swept up into it and go into artistic overload. xD

Cool that there are still alternatives to photoshop haha. Do you use a drawing tablet or a mouse?

I don't think I have drawn anything since the last time I participated in Secret Santa on here, sadly!! Would be fun to get back into it a bit. I have to give a lot of presentations for my work and I think it would be fun to have little cartoon pictures in them, but I've never gotten around to it. xD

I actually use SAI and Photoshop. SAI for sketching and linework and then I bring it over into Photoshop for coloring, shading, and backgrounds. I still have my version of CS6 which was the last edition of offline Photoshop that isn't hooked up to their really pesky subscription service...

Aww, it would be great to see you get back into art! Your art is always really awesome and it would be great to see more of it!

Ooh I see! I still have an old copy of CS4 on my computer. I really hate how everything is a subscription service these days!!!

Haha maybe I shall! :) My work actually switched to a new program called Affinity as Adobe prices got too high. I hated it at first but it's actually a pretty good alternative. We even switched away from Acrobat Pro for the same reason. I just looked it up and it costs AU$32 per month!! That's $384 per year per person just to edit some PDFs. Insanity!!!
