Pokémon for Nintendo Switch

A Pokémon game for the Switch has been confirmed.

During Nintendo’s financial releases yesterday, Nintendo relisted the newly announced Pokémon game for Nintendo Switch. In this listing, it gave a release date for the game, following on from Tsunekazu Ishihara’s statement in the Nintendo Showcase at E3. It lists the game as coming out on Nintendo Switch in “2018 or later”. No further details were given but none is expected until after Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon is released. We’ll provide more as it comes

Haha. Good job Nintendo. 2018 or later. XD You'd think they'd want a game from one of their biggest franchises on the Switch sooner rather than later. On the other hand, maybe this means they are actually making a really big awesome game!

Yeah, I still haven't seen too much reason to run out and grab a Switch yet. But an awesome Pokemon game would do it.

Actually this whole wait a few years thing isn't too uncommon. I was explaining this to someone else earlier so forgive me if the year counts are off but if I recall correctly it took them three years to get a game on the DS. And it took two to three for the Wii. So not entirely unusual.

That's true. But I forgot about Pokken tournament coming to Switch so I guess I was wrong anyway xD

That is correct! The switch is meant to be the replacement for the DS line. Kinda sad about that but I guess I'll have to get a switch soon enough.
