I like it, but why did you use the shell's colour as highlights? xD Looks very out of place. I also think you could taper some of the lines a bit more to soften it up.

A good, cheater-like way is to look at all of Speed's pixel stuff and see what she does to make hers look amazing. xD Sorry I can't be of more help. Lol.
