OK, so, for future reference I'm going to compile the Stalker samples with what we know to determine any stalker-y folk.

Purple Shred: The most obvious. Without any consideration for any other evidence, the four Pokemon it could most likely be are:
10: Gorlin the Swalot
20: Garen the Malamar
29: Franny the Mismagius
30: Rola the Lurantis (listed as purple in dex)
38: Buldaren the Exploud
40: Jaxie the Gothorita (listed as purple in dex)
47: Misa the Mienshao (listed as purple in dex)

Of these, Franny is almost certainly out due to her aid to us previously nailing RttnCrps. Almost certainly. Almost. Also, the way Purple Shred is referred to, as opposed to fur, makes me doubt Misa as well.

I think Pokemon Trainer Sarah covered the Black fur already, (I would like to make one adjustment to that list: Pignite have fur on their tails so you could add 9: Ferris the Pignite to the list), so onto the Beige fur, which is surprisingly short (if I didn't miss anything).

11: Fen the Linoone
12: Yandil the Smeargle
16: Vella the Buneary
45: Tashy the Furret

I do not need to say Tashy is innocent 999,999 times out of 1 million so let's end it there. I listed her for completion reasons.

Now: I should point out that we only know that Kanja triggered mission disclosure penalties, while Stalkers beforehand in previous games did not. It may be that this penalty is unique to her, so let us not assume.

Uh, we should also probably contact one of the Police Pokemon with the grim news that Kanja was a Stalker.

Investigations. While I can't recommend it for the others, if Yandil is the 'only' potential Stalker while Fen and Vella are considered 'safe,' then we have our Stalker. Though we do have wriggle room if we want to check if all stalkers can gather information from our direct conversations. I only ask you do it for the Beige fur canidates because there's only three so that won't be too implausible and too much of a timesink if we coordinate it.

I agree about the mission disclosure, it's hard to know if it'll go up just from talking to a stalker or whatever... It didn't go up from talking to Yandil last time. So I'm interested to see if it goes up this time as we spoke to Jeddi.

I agree about the mission disclosure, it's hard to know if it'll go up just from talking to a stalker or whatever... It didn't go up from talking to Yandil last time. So I'm interested to see if it goes up this time as we spoke to Jeddi.

Breloom are unlikely to be furry; they're mushrooms. In any case; we have the magic courtesy of the Bulbapedia Pokedex color search, which states Mawile is officially gray (though the parts you are concerned about probably are yellow, and a yellow too bright to be confused for beige), Numel is Yellow (and still too bright for beige) while Breloom and Leafeon are officially green. The fur of a Smeargle or Linoone is officially white, while the fur of a Buneary is officially brown, which makes this a conundrum and a half...

I don't know, but I think Neo thought far enough ahead to predict that conversations over what would and would not be constituted as beige would have a valid solution we could actually check for accuracy. I'm not so sure on this one, though, as beige isn't a color in the PokeDex... But I'm positive that Leafeon and especially Breloom do not have fur at all.

I will admit, it's annoying to deal with a color that has at once been described as almost any given tint of color that's really, really pale, and only kinda focuses on 'sandy brown.' I can see the logic behind almost all of those, to be honest.

Yeah I don't really know... Unless Neo confirms he only went by official Pokedex colours (I think this is very unlikely actually... I'm sure it was based more on common sense than the Pokedex) then I wouldn't be ruling out Leafeon or Breloom. And I think I said this last time we had samples but we don't really know that Breloom isn't furry... I mean sure it has a mushroom on its head but it's also kind of a kangaroo xD And what, Leafeon isn't furry?!?! The Eeveelutions are foxes or something? I'm pretty sure they all have fur haha.

I just feel like we should err on the side of caution and include any Pokemon that is possible even if unlikely, otherwise we risk ruling stuff out prematurely. Doesn't mean we can't focus on those who are more likely though!

Edit:

Decided to look at previous Stalkers to see what the samples were like:

- The first vial has a few strands of purple fur. - Aromatisse
- The second vial has a blue scale. - Vaporeon
- The third vial has a few brown hairs. -Furret
- The fourth vial has an orange scale. - Dragonite
- The fifth vial has a trace of a green leaf. - Oddish
- The sixth vial has a few white hairs. - Pachirisu

Oddish's official colour is blue, Aromatisse's is pink, Dragonite's is brown... so I don't think the official Pokedex colours matter.

In terms of the Purple shred, my two main suspects are the mismagius and the Mienshao. The mismagius has been pretty helpful but I'm not one to rule anything out. I'm more suspicious of Mira, as the ribbon-things that Mienshao's have on their arms end in a purple bit. I'm not really suspicious of other purple pokemon because it says shread rather than skin or hide or fur.

Leafeon defo has fur

I personally, am most suspicious of Franny the Mismagius as far as the purple shred goes. It was found at her place of work, and she seems like the most likely purpleish pokemon to drop a 'shred'. But I don't think we should be too specific in narrowing down stalkers with samples, as I really don't think they're meant too super helpful for ids. And color is slightly subjective anyhow. I could argue for days about what's purple and what's blue. (Remember the dress?)

Also, we have both the king and the queen heads for {Head Display: Missing Head of the King, Missing Head of the Queen} at (38), but all together it has the potential to do at least 3 sanity damage, if someone with security wants to work on that. (If that's even a good idea?)

Ooh I forgot about that. If I don't need to protect Tashy next round then I'll start disarming those items so we can use them. :)
