You decide to head over to the Southwarren Police Station, wondering if you can figure out what they know without directly asking any of the police officers. It seems the brick building is pretty old and was likely one of the original structures that existed here since Southwarren's founding. In recent years, it seems as though most of the renovation work has only been touch-ups and not really full work that the building needs. The wood trimming could definitely use a new coat of paint.

You start your search on the outside, wondering what you might find possibly besides the building itself or in a container on the outside. Besides, it's anyone's guess as to what this old building might be hiding. As you search around the perimeter, you catch sight of a small patch of yellow fur that looks like it got caught on the razor wire that's coiled around the top of the thick metal fence that serves as extra protection against Pokémon in lockup trying to escape. It seems whoever this yellow-furred Pokémon is tried to see if they could scale the fence but didn't get too far and gave up. Oddly enough, it seems as though they tried to get in from the outside, which strikes you as unusual. Regardless of their reason, you decide to take the yellow fur with you, wondering if it may reveal something later on.

Pokémon Sample [Yellow Fur] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You complete your search around the exterior and then head inside to see what the story is on the inside of the old building.

Inside, most of the furnishings and lighting arrangements are mostly old in style, but the equipment, furniture, and technology is much more up to date with computers, phones, and radios in use. You take note that besides police chief Lexin the Flygon, Britera the Braixen and Kanja the Kecleon also work here as police officers and Sten the Bellossom is a detective here.

You look around the rooms and you see in the meeting rooms, the Southwarren Police have been actively meeting on potential leads for the Stalkers. However, everything is a sea of whiteboard markings and scribbles, photographs of victims, photographs of potential evidence, witness reports, and what have you. It takes you a good while to sort it out, but you're able to draw a few conclusions.

  • One Stalker named "Bloodwish" appears to have the signature of stabbing their victims many times, resulting in heavy blood loss. Several of their kills have been found and photographed.
  • Another Stalker seems to be named "Overkill." It seems there is quite a lot of evidence that shows the Stalker's name appearing on notes, on walls, and scattered around. The photographs also appear to be feverish and often incoherent. It's unclear exactly how this Stalker kills Pokémon, but you get the idea that it's likely very grizzly considering Kanja leaving a note of "let's not talk yet again about what Overkill left behind last week" on Sten's desk.
  • The police have found one Stalker that seems to force-fed victims before boiling them alive, leaving them as horrid, bloated corpses that have been boiled and deep-fried. The police aren't sure about the name of this Stalker but it definitely seems to be a signature.
  • Another Stalker seems to have a fascination with fire and definitely has been using it to kill other Pokémon. Naturally, the police suspect a fire type to be at fault, but as Britera's notes confirm, it seems that the victims found were not killed by fire-type attacks given chemical residue testing. It seems they're still trying to investigate this, however, and they don't have the name of the Stalker yet.

The rest of the evidence doesn't seem as conclusive. It seems the Southwarren police have already spent hours debating other possible hunches and theories but judging from what you see, it can be right or wrong. You feel you might need to ask them in person to get more of a story regarding what their individual thoughts are so they can shed more light on this.

You decide to check out one of the areas that the police use as a waiting room, either for witnesses or family members. It's empty at the moment, but you spot something that seems unusual. One of the cabinets looks like someone recently engineered a makeshift lock for it with a word combination lock. You take a closer look at it, but the dials can be rotated around and the letters on them can form one of seemingly hundreds of possible words.

Locked Container {Password Encoded Cabinet: Four Letter Lock} has been noted in the Team Records.

Seeing as how it could take days to try and figure out the word by trial and error, you decide to just leave it alone for now.

As you walk out of the police station, you definitely feel you've learned a lot and the trip was definitely worth it. As the sun begins to set, you head back to base to let the other Emissaries know what you've found.
