Interview Britera the Braixen to learn Escort/Protect.
Tonight, you decide to seek out Britera and learn some protective skills from her. Seeing as how it was very helpful when it came to defending Tashy from Kanja while she was under the influence of RttnCrps, you wonder if the need for that might come up again.
You find Britera at the police station, still trying to piece together the loose ends from the Stalker investigation. It seems she's been at it for a while, but when she sees you and you request to learn protection training from her, she happily agrees.
"All for it!" Britera tells you with a smile. "I need a break from looking at this stuff. After a while it all begins to blur together and it's hard to focus, so this should be good to do in the meantime."
She trains you quickly and swiftly, cutting out the introductory details and focuses on the most important components of how to keep on overwatch and how best to recognize the sounds of an intruder versus simple bumps in the night or disturbances caused by wind. A great deal of her training also deals with using the environment, knowing your surroundings, and making sure your client minimizes risks, such as avoiding open windows and places where you might lose visual on them. Her training also deals with how best to remain hidden to ambush a would-be attacker, how to move silently, and how to be aware of where your client is and what they are doing.
Britera's training also deals with how to best convince another skilled Pokémon on using their knowledge and expertise toward accomplishing objectives. Britera likes the approach of asking skilled professions how good their think their skill is and then propose your task them to see if they're really that good. As she tells you, most Pokémon then see it as a challenge to prove themselves and they'll do it.
At the end of the many hours of training, you feel this was a great use of time and Britera definitely knows her stuff. You feel confident in your new abilities and ready to take on the task of being a protector.
Congratulations! Hope the Alolan Vulpix now knows the Escort/Protect ability!
You also feel pretty tired at the end of the training. At least for a little while, it has gotten your mind off of what happened at the Tolbin House. Maybe after all this, you should be able to sleep easier.
Hope the Alolan Vulpix (S: Ice)
