I want to get into anime but I'm terrible at finding stuff to watch. xD I've watched very few but I always enjoy them once I get into it. I mostly just watch Studio Ghibli movies.

I watched Cowboy Bebop when I was home sick a couple years ago on the recommendation of a friend. It was pretty good and reminded me of Firefly kinda. xD I think it'd be your sort of thing, Neo. :)

perhaps I can make some recommendations. I watch a wide enough variety I could probably figure out something for you. What type of shows are you into?

Hmm well I liked the melancholy of haruhi suzimaya series and ghibli movies. xD So anything like that really. An interesting story is good. I think maybe slice of life or drama genre would fit best. Nothing violent. Also something that's not TOO long or neverending. Not really interested in long journeys with filler etc. like One Piece, Pokemon etc. xD What are your absolute favourite animes? :O

    ....*throws my list away*

xD well I had a few I was gonna recommend, but they have some occasional violence.

Steins;Gate is one I loved for the suspense behind it. That was one crazy ride. Watching it through a second time you notice SO MUCH more than you did the first time through that made no sense. That and it's short for the series. A new series to it is coming next year too (an alternative story). I imagine it'll be way darker than the main series was.

I've got a few I could recommend, but they're either suspenseful, dark, or action based right off.

Gemma says: "Your Lie in April" is a good one that springs to mind, but it's sad....or Clannad xD

    The time is upon us...

xD I mean, some violence is okay if it contributes to the story but if the whole thing is about fighting then I'm kinda meh. xD Thank you for the list though! I've heard Steins;Gate mentioned a few times and it seems interesting!

Hmm based on that Fruits Basket and Natsumes book of friends are two good ones. Any particular shows you've watched in the past you've liked?

I don't watch much anime, mainly because all the interesting ones aren't available to watch in the UK. :( Still sad I never got to finish watching The Heroic Legend of Arslan, cause there licencing expired midway through.

Studio Ghibli stuff can sometimes get really weird, but for the most part, it's pretty good. There's plenty of things that don't make any logical sense in those movies, but you can still love them. XD
