The GTS is pretty good if you make a reasonable request because most people are completely unreasonable so your offer will stand out in a good way. XD Not sure how active the GTS is now though, this was shortly after the games came out.
Yeah, I've had some... Bad experiences with the GTS in the past. :/ It's kinda a last resort now.
