Uh, no, it's never debatable. Your life is worth more than anything else. The reason I got First Aid certified this semester was because I wanted to be able to save lives if I was ever needed to do so. It may be expensive but I would rather you be alive than be dead.

Yeah, healthcare is one of those things that definitely shouldn't be considered a "luxury." I honestly dislike the word "luxury" a lot.

I understand that medical research wants some money for their hard work and doctors want to get paid, but holy smokes, let's be reasonable about this. Charging someone $2000 just for an ambulance is insanity. Having to go to the hospital shouldn't be the beginning of complete financial ruin.

But does that apply to someone who lives with intense pain every day (whether physically or emotionally)? If a pet was in a spot like this, some people would decide to do away with them so they don't feel pain. What's the difference with humans in this case?

Okay don’t say that. The whole “societal construct” argument when used for anything pisses me off. You are worth something. That’s not something society has taught me to believe, it’s what my instincts tell me. It’s why I’m having this argument with me right now! If I didn’t care why on earth would I be talking to you? You matter. Everyone matters! That’s not just some societal construct, it’s called me supporting everyone who needs it because THEY MATTER.

And also fun fact, when my dog died when I was six, guess whose family chose to not euthanize him? So no, we didn’t put him out of his misery because he was in too much pain. We gave him meds and prolonged his life until nature could take its course. PV was a member of the family. All pets are. But also, YOU ARE WORTH MORE THAN A DOG. Sure dogs are loving and have feelings to some extent, but they don’t have cognitive and creative thought like you do. A dog couldn’t compete in chess tournaments. A dog couldn’t drive to a restaurant and have lunch with Neo. A dog couldn’t be a site writer for PXR. You are worth so much more than a companion animal because there’s so much you can do with your life. Sure there’s going to be stress. I’m currently on the brink of an emotional breakdown myself because of my classes. But I’m not giving up. Eventually, it’ll work itself out. I just have to survive.

Just to clear things up, I'm not saying I should die. I don't believe I'm in THAT much pain. I'm just saying in general, if someone WAS in so much pain that living was unbearable and wanted to die, they should have a right to do so.

I'd be really happy about the pokemon GO updates if.. well.. I hadn't just lost the only device I can play it on :/
My Ipod just disappeared from my pocket at some point yesterday and I have no idea where it could be. My phone is way too old to play pokemon GO so... woo.

Yeah gen3 and the Christmas event should be pretty fun this year.

I stopped playing GO since April of last year, but it's nice they're still doing events and such for it.
