Yeah my whole suburb is out. Phone and internet... I wonder if someone hit a pole or something. :P No point calling them cos their customer service is the worst if you even get to speak to anyone in the first place...

Problem here mostly is never getting someone that speaks English. You ask to speak to a supervisor and it's even worse. Almost have to bluntly say "can I speak to someone that's first language is English." At least without insulting them. That's why we left AT&T here. We'd be on the phone for literal HOURS trying to get it squared away and someone to come out to fix it. Which never lasted long. Now Comcast even the BUSINESS version is giving us trouble. It's supposed to have dedicated servers so this kinda thing wouldn't happen. Yet, here we are where the signal barely reaches my room now and the speed is drastically dropped.

These internet companies need to step up their game again

    The time is upon us...

Yeah the call centre we get is in the Philippines, I think. The last time our internet stopped working we spent days trying to get someone to fix it (had to go through the same restart your router thing ever time!!!) and finally managed to get someone within Australia who fixed it within an hour :/

This time since it's a registered outage for the whole town, I'm not even gonna bother. It's been 48 hours now... Just gotta hope it will be fixed tomorrow but unlikely since it's Sunday.

My Mom dear Lord they get on her ever loving nerves. She tries to call customer service and by the end I'm real surprised she hadn't reached through the phone to choke someone. She tries to explain and they keep cutting her off to the point where she yells shut up so I can finish.

I had to call ATT/Direct TV last week after our snow storm because we had lost our signal that morning from wht Mom told me and lost it for basically all weekend. I had done everything I could to try and get it back the whole restarting the box and all that other crap. So then I called and explained to the them what was going on and told them we just had a snow storm 2 days ago. (Mind you we had a snow storm that was worse a month or so ago and our TV was just fine.) I told the lady everything and she said have you tried restarting the box. I'm like I've done everything I could before calling.

Lady: "Have you tried restarting the box?"
Me: "Yeah like 4 times already."
Lady: "Can you try restarting it again?"
    Me: >_______> *restarts the box*
    Lady: "Anything happen?"
    Me: "Nope."
Lady: "Is there anything in the way of the dish?"
Me: "Uhhhhhhh snow from the storm we had."
Lady: "Is there a way you can clean it off?"
    Me: "Uhhhhh no."
Lady: "Well then the only thing you can do is wait for the snow to melt."
Me: "In what April when its warm again...?"
Lady: "Well unless you can clean off the dish there is nothing we can do. Thank you for choosing Direct TV and have a wonderful night." *hangs up*
Me: *insert me screaming cuss words into the phone*

And that was about the end of it. We got our signal back late the next day.

This is why I’m glad I live in the desert. I don’t have to deal with that pesky snow!

Lately Verizon has been jacking up the bill for no good reason. Sounds like we're probably going to switch ISPs, because this is just getting stupid and ridiculous.

On a better note, I played some Mario Kart 8 yesterday on the Switch. My goodness, these games are so colorful and creative. Sure, while they may not have the most "realistic" graphics compared to XBox One and PS4, they sure are a heck of a lot more nicer-looking. I can work with that.

Honestly, I can see why. I'm beginning to appreciate this more colorful side to things.
