Geez, glad I finished my shopping! I've found around 2.30 to be a good time to go since people leave to do the school pick up. But I think school holidays have started now so it's probably crazy all day. I was at Eastland last week and while parking sucked I was surprised that it didn't seem busy inside. Maybe cos it's just so big haha.
Yeah Eastland is freaking horrible to find a park at. xD Though I always go to my same area which hasn't failed me yet! So glad I had all my Christmas shopping done like a week ago. One of my friends finished all hers by the start of December which motivated me to start early. Though she missed out on Black Friday sales. xP Which weirdly were a thing this year. But hey, I'm happy to get sales because of a holiday that isn't even a thing in our country! xD
Nice, I used to have an area too, like in the carpark but the area that isn't covered overhead xD But I haven't been there much since they renovated everything. If I need something that's not at Greensy, I usually just get the bus to Doncaster to avoid having to park. xD But wow getting all your shopping done by December is impressive. The end of the year always creeps up on me!
SAME! Maybe it was the same spot! xD Ahh I see. I didn't really drive before the renovation so I've only really driven there since, haha. But the carpark still confuses the hell outta me. Orly? I've only been to Doncaster like three times and all times I've gotten a park, but that also wasn't in December. xD And yes, super impressive! Glad I took a leaf out of her book haha.
Anyway we should extend this conversation to others who don't live in Melbourne. XD What plans do you have for Christmas? Do you get a break too? O: I'll probably be working like every day except Christmas only because we're closed. xD
I'm going to my dad's for Christmas eve. It's the first time it's at his house and not my grandmother's house so it'll be interesting. xD Then on Christmas Day I'm going to my Uncle's but he lives like an hour away so it's always a hassle.
I actually graduated on Monday! So I'm all done at uni and can have as much time off as I want (while applying for jobs...). But I usually still go into uni most days to hang with the bf who works there and doesn't get time off. XD And also because if I stay home all the time I will become super lazy and unmotivated haha.
Wow you are working hard! Do you get paid extra for working on public holidays or is that only if you're not full time? That is crazy though, I hope you get to have a break eventually. I know my brother's fiance is flat out working retail as well while he is forced to take time off between Christmas and New Year as his office is closed. Kinda lame how businesses make you use up your annual leave to do that.
What are you doing for Christmas? :D
Oh nice! Why has your dad never had it at his house before? O: Ahaha yeah, that sounds like it. Well at least it'll only be 22 on Christmas so it won't be a stifling car ride. P.S. THAT IS SO LAME AND NOT SUMMER WEATHER AT ALL. Melbourne why. >:c
Oh wow, congratulations, Sarah! :D :D That's so exciting and also daunting! xD Ugh stupid job applications. The worst. Aww damn. xD That sucks. Good you get to see him though!
I'm actually not technically full time; my contract says I'm part time but I've been doing full time hours. xD So yes, I do get paid extra for public holidays but the only public holiday will be Boxing Day and New Years Day as far as I know, right? Dunno if I'm working either of those but we'll see! I wish we closed over Christmas haha. And yeah, that's true. I'm glad I won't have to use up any of mine. I plan to save that for a trip to Japan next year!
We'll have Christmas lunch here with Mum's family. We don't really see Dad's family for Christmas. Then Christmas night I'm gonna head over to my mate's house because his family is like my second family ahaha. His mum basically adopted me when I first met her. XDD So yeah I'm sure it'll be fun! 8D
Since my parents divorced almost 10 years ago my dad has been jumping around houses from my grandparent's to his grilfriend's to his investment properties so he hasn't really had a stable place through his own choice. xD But he bought a house in Feb this year so we are having Christmas there for the first time! It's a tradition to have it at my grandparents' which I like better I think. But my dad's girlfriend really wanted to hold Christmas this year so that's what's happening. I have to make a pasta salad to bring and I've never done it before so that cold be interesting. XD Gotta pick a random one from the net haha.
Woo thank you! Yes a lot of jobs are coming out right now so the scientists can look over them in January. xD So that's what I'll be doing.
Oh yeah I guess there aren't as many public holidays as it seems. xD But Boxing Day and New Years are yeah. I guess extra public holiday money is the best part of not being full time. xD OMG Japan! That's so awesome!!! Have you ever been there before?
Aww you were adopted the first time? That's adorable. XD Sounds like you have an awesome Christmas planned, woo!!!
