Movie 21 Trailer Debut

It is that time of year! The trailer for a brand new Pokemon movie.

The trailer for the 21st Pokemon Movie was premiered today during Oha Suta. In the trailer, it showed Ash and Pikachu in an unknown area. A gust of wind blows Ash’s hat off his head. The hat flies off and eventually lands in front of an unknown young lady. It then ends with a song that sounds similar to the second Pokemon movie. The trailer show no hints of which Pokemon will be featured in the upcoming Pokemon movie or did it give any indication of the plot. The trailer also doesn’t indicate if this movie is a continuation of the previous movie.
It is worth nothing that the animation style is different compare to Pokemon: I Choose You. Ash’s design is similar to the previous movie except the jacket has a different collar to it. The movie is a collaboration between the OLM and WIT Studio. Normally, OLM usually handles the animation of the Pokemon anime.
The movie tentative title is Pokémon The Movie 2018. Please note that the title will most likely change early in 2018. Also, most of the scenes from this trailer may or may not make it into the final cut of the movie. The movie will premiere in Japan on July 13th 2018.

Wow they're really gonna remake ALL the movies?! Come on now! I still haven't seen the first one so I can't comment. xD

I mean.. If they remade the first movie, there would be some level of Mewtwo, right? I think that movie just rebooted the anime at its roots. My wife just commented on how the music sounded suspiciously like something out of the Lugia film. I couldn't guarantee that, but I would rather they didn't. Leave that masterpiece of a movie alone. Pokemon 2000 was fantastic and needs no reboot. This is just my opinion, though.

I am worried that this will be a reboot or remake of the second movie. I mean, all we have is that song at the end. It sounds like the one from the second movie.

I hope it isn't a remake of that second movie. If it is then it will feel really hallow considering how nice that second movie is. That is considering that I am basing this on the dub.

I almost feel like they're running out of ideas so they're just going to remake a bunch until something better is thought of. I think people will be real unhappy if they keep giving us remakes unless they are REALLY good.

Well, let's not jump to conclusions, everyone. I know I instigated the possibility of it being a Pokemon 2000 remake. However, while there are similarities to Lugia's song, it isn't the same thing. This could just as well be an all new adventure or spin-off from the I Choose You movie, and have absolutely nothing to do with Lugia. If they do run with Lugia to match with Ho-oh from I choose you, I would hope that it turns out to be an entirely different movie, as not to replicate anything from 2000. Even the song. But that's only if it's a new Lugia movie, I can't assume to know if it is, or not. I'm certainly hoping it isn't, though.

Yeah. That is my feeling too. Right now isn't the time to predict the plot or anything. All they gave us was a trailer with Ash and some girl with a flute song played in the background. Nothing to figure out any kind of plot.
