Detective Pikachu Movie Release Date

Mark your calendars! Detective Pikachu now has a date!

A release date for the Detective Pikachu movie has now been set. Universal announced that the movie will be released on May 10th, 2019!
The Detective Pikachu movie will be produced by Legendary. This movie has some pretty impressive names attached to it such Ryan Reynolds playing Detective Pikachu. Others on the film include Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) and Kathryn Newton (Big Little Lies).
Production of the movie will start in January. The filming will be mostly done in London.

Pretty long time to wait on the release. Much less that they already know a specified release date before they've even started filming. Still glad Ryan Reynolds got the role. That and I know Kathryn Newton from Supernatural too. Still can't wait and hopefully it doesn't keep getting the toss around like the Death Note movie did and then turn out just like how that went over....then again. Maybe they're planning the international release of the game in-between and THAT'S why it's so far out from now. To get us ready just like Japan has it. One could only hope xD
