Has it really been that long since i've bothered to post something?

I've got this that I entered for WAR Drawn Arts.

    Spoiler:

This took me somewhere between 9 and 11 hours. I could most likely have done it faster, but I work slow. As I wrote in the submission:

"This was behind a vacation house I used to have. The place wasn't totally the middle of nowhere, but compared to where I lived at the time, it might as well have been."

Made with watercolor paints and watercolor pencils.

That picture is really nice. :O I really like the water and the trees in the background. Watercolours are so fun! I'm trying to learn how to use them properly but it's so hard! xD

Also looking back, the shading/texture you did on that onix is so good. :O Onix seems like it would be really difficult to draw!

Thank you! Yes, watercolors can be difficult. I always have trouble making colors blend how I want them to.

As for the Onix, it actually wasn't very hard, but it took what felt like forever. I honestly didn't think it was that good, but thank you!

So, I haven't posted anything in like, a really long time, but I've gotten quite a bit better at traditional art since then (Haven't even tried digital art in a while so I still suck at that), so i'm gonna post this.

Biggest painting I've ever done, 30X40. Finished at the beginning of September 2016. Not the greatest photo but It was the best I could get.
    Spoiler:

...also, can someone fix the missing apostrophe in the title of this thread that is going to drive me crazy now that I don't suck at grammar anymore.

nvm, it actually works now so I can edit my own thread's title.

MIKE, THIS PAINTING IS BEAUTIFUL. You need a better camera though so we can see it in all its glory. Is it based on a photograph?

THE WAVES TURNED OUT AMAZINGLY. THE WATER IS. JUST. SO. OMG. And the crests of the waves are just so well done <3

Fweeeeee...those clouds are still better than any clouds I can draw. xD AND THE WATER. THE LIGHT AND THE WAVES OF THE WATER. Amazing!

I can't paint to save my life, but you're genuinely good at it. Kudos! :D
