Usually I go new. If it's a really awesome deal on a used product, I'll check it out and ask to see what the condition of it is like. And if it's a game or something electronic, I want to see it working. But yeah, I have bought used products that still work perfectly.
CDs, DVDs, and Blu-Rays I tend to shy away from buying used. Usually those end up having more scratches than an ice-skating rink and trying to deal with them can be a mess.
