For better or worse, human history could be considered an integral part of the history of absolute existence---especially in this day & age.

True, it is part of it and I find the biology behind it interesting, like the evolution of man and how society progressed on a large scale. But I don't find the details about particular people or wars or anything interesting at all. In the scheme of the world, the history of humanity is such a short time.
