I finished the cross-stich a while ago. But I'd still love to see your attempt at Mewtwo if you feel like doing it! :O

I know, it was really complicated haha! I should have picked an easy one but I wanted the final thing to look really cool. What's worse is that it was my first cross-stitch as well, besides a tiny practice one I never finished. xD

Nice work on the Exeggcute! Even the backgrounds look great :D

You should totally post the cross-stitch! I'd love to see how it turned out. :D

So I have a bit of a "treat," I guess? It's been fun so far yet a little difficult due to all of the different colors involved in this one. 28 colors so far, I think. I actually did optimize the colors but I don't want to optimize them too much as I still want it to appear photo-realistic. Still a work-in-progress.

Uh...well, here's another thing I'm working on. Much bigger and trying to make it much more detailed. It should take a LONG time to do, so I'm doing it bit-by-bit. Treating it cluster-by-cluster, piece-by-piece.

I love the photo as well. It looks amazing! I think the trees could use a little anti-aliasing around the edges (perhaps). The cloud looks really, really awesome. You're so talented. cx

Thank you! The story behind the chickens is that there are wild chickens in Key West like everywhere. One morning at the Dunkin Donuts parking lot, we saw a momma hen with her babies and I got a bunch of adorable photos of them

And I found an MLP pixel art thing on my pixel art folder on my computer. This folder is actually from my old phone: any time I see beautiful pixel art on my phone I'll save it to a folder named as such, just to look back on later. That being said, I do not know of the origins of the majority of these, including this one:



Still, at the time I was opening ones that looked interesting and doing palette studies of them, of sorts. I loved the colors on this and was like, "I wonder how many colors?"
195 colors. So I took a look and the biggest offender was Rainbow Dash's mane. I was toying around so I wanted to optimize the color palette just because I wanted to, and midway realized that I wasn't going to get anywhere. So I was like, "maybe I'll fix this whole thing up just for fun!" and begun to reduce everything to lines.

After doing THAT I realized that most of the line art was pretty messy, so I decided to just remake this thing entirely. The main thing that drew me towards this were the colors: I LOVE THE COLORS IN THIS; there is SO much potential. I also liked what the original artist was trying to do with the shading.

So I give you: Fluttershy. This...wasn't traced or edited. Just completely redone, to give me something interesting to work towards.

This turned out to be 20 colors, but I don't really care. They're all used to their fullest and I want to make something smooth anyway. Pretty much none of the exterior outlines are colored differently for stylistic purposes.
