@XaiakuX, @Dragon Master Mike - cease and desist immediately because y'all are going to make me blush.
Mike, I'm not a professional, although I do hope to be someday once I'm out of college and such. What skill I have I have because I've been drawing digitally for several years; I practice nearly every single day, and I study a lot of other digital artists' work too. So while I'm not yet making money off of it, it's something I've been doing and have been dedicated to for quite a long time.
But seriously, thanks a lot for the nice words. It means a lot. :O
Yeah... Velocity is quite frankly the main reason why I decided not to bother with Drawn Art this year...
If there was like an "Art Newbies" competition, maybe I'd be more at home with that. :P
Looks like Velocity did win!
I made this myself!!! Come check out my deviantart page at http://mrcoolbro3.deviantart.com/. And here's my shop! http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/for...hop-of-Sprites
The results and the new theme is up. Only one week left!
It has been a great War, and it has been amazing judging it and getting to see all of the great work entered here. I am amazed at the quality of work that some people post. It is a wonder that some of you aren't working as professional graphic or traditional artists.
I hope the final theme is clear and I hope you enjoy it. I didn't know what to do so I just thought that I should combine the idea of war and pokemon together and as there is a pokemon war theory floating around it would be relevant. It was also a bit of an acknowledgement of the 100th year anniversary of World War I which was yesterday.
I think I am going to do a section when I have judged the final week. It will be at the bottom of the first post and it will be a sort of 'notable mentions' where I will look throughout everyone who has entered and I will mention some for things they have achieved, such as becoming 1st/2nd/3rd a certain amount of times or for entering every week or popular work etc. Therefore it will give acknowledgement to everyone and it will show that they have still achieved something even if they did not win any points in the competitions. What do you think?
Good Luck everyone!
Yeah, that's pretty much exactly what's happening in sprite art right now. Speed-X has won literally all of the weeks so far, then it's Pokemon Trainer Sarah is doing really well, and god forbid what would happen if Graceful Suicune weren't the judge for the category.

Y'know how crows mob raptors that come too close to their nests? I figure that this would be sort of similar, albeit on a larger and deadlier scale.
I'm not sure what possessed me to set this scene underneath a rock arch, because I have very little experience drawing rocks, but oh well, live and learn. The amount of experimentation that went on here is pretty high; not sure how successful I was, haha.
