    Welcome!

Yeah, it's been a while since I've won one of these. Going for a lucky #7 win here!

It's raining today so I can't ride my bike to work, which means dealing with all the traffic, ugh!

We actually had some really nice weather here today. Went with my dad on a lunch river cruise and the food they had was pretty good. Included salad, bread, the main course (my dad and I shared salmon and chicken francaise), and a slice of cheesecake for dessert. After that we went on the upper deck and enjoyed the scenery until it was time to head back.

Definitely worth taking the day off for.

That sounds so nice! Was it a special occasion or just a nice break? I've been watching a lot of cruise stuff on YouTube recently. I don't know why because I would probably never go on one due to motion sickness xD

It ended up raining here most of the day except when I had to walk to/from the car to get to work. So that was lucky xD

Mainly just a nice break! My dad belongs to several senior clubs and he gets invites to day trips and sometimes entire vacations. For some of them I come along to keep him company and we've had some pretty good times. Sometimes some of these elderly folks say and do the funniest and darnest things.

The river cruise we went on was the River Lady on Tom's River. The food was pretty good even though the boat was smaller than what I was originally expecting. There were only a few moments where the waves got a tiny bit rough and there was a little bit of tossing around, but in general it was a pretty gentle ride.

That sounds like a great way to do new things! I think there should be similar clubs for non seniors xD

Was this your first time on a cruise? Was it through a city or countryside? I imagine it could be pretty relaxing just watching the world go by!

I've done a few one-day cruises, but nothing like Carnival or Norwegian cruises when you pack your bags and stay on the cruise ship for a few days as it visits various islands and locations. But it is nice and relaxing to just kick back, relax, and watch everything go by as the ship lightly rocks you back and forward from the waves.

But yeah, this was just along the river and it was only about three hours, but it was still fun. Even better when it's a nice, sunny day.

That does sound nice and a good way to start getting into cruises. Did you hear about that 9 month world wide cruise? Now THAT is a long time to be cruising. xD
