    Crafts & DIY

Do any of you guys enjoy making different crafts or doing DIY projects?

I recently made a cushion cover and a beanbag cover while learning to use my new sewing machine. :D I just found this to make your own notebook, which looks pretty cute and which I wanna try next!

Once I get confident with my sewing machine, I really want to try making a patchwork quilt! The other thing on my to-do list is to create an end table somewhat like this one using decoupage.
    Spoiler:

I'd also love to try making clothes!

I recently took up cross stitching/embroidery, and I've previously done a lot of crochet and sewing plush by hand.

How bout you guys? Feel free to share pics of your latest projects or links to cool stuff!

I've been making cat toys and bow ties that you can put on your cat's collar.

That's awesome. I've seen so many pretty things to make jewelry out of at craft stores. I've always wanted to try but I'm already doing too much stuff. xD Hopefully one day!

Last week at Youth Group, the theme was DIY. I am in charge of year eight boys (13-14 year olds) so I bought a kit from Bunnings for $50 and we made this.
    Spoiler:

Before that though the whole Youth Group made Tie Dye shirts which are going to be our team shirts for State Youth Games in July. Here is mine.

Oh awesome! When I was little, my dad took us around the neighbourhood when it was hard rubbish collection week and we collected things to make a billycart. xD

Nice shirt. Tie Dye works pretty awesome. I've never tried it before. Now you're a hippy!

So my buddy is in SCA, and despite being terribly lazy, I'm the sewing guy-- Constructing a canvas surcoat, sewing by hand. It does a thing to your fingers! I do enjoy sewing but I have trouble following through on projects. Mainly, I have trouble sticking to one project because by the time I'm halfway done, I've thought of something even cooler that I want to do!
