The Mage sneaks up to the door. What he sees will be with him for the remainder of the story.

You are now The Rogue, the second playable character.

Hot diggidy darn, is the Rogue cool. If there was a poll for the coolness factor of all people on the planet, he would DEFINITELY rank high.

The Rogue is a member of the GUILD OF ROGUES, a union of mercenaries, assassins, treasure hunters, and the like. They basically let anybody in, provided they pass the initiation. And the Rogue passed with flying colors.

Currently, the Rogue is on a mission personally assigned by the leader and founder of the Guild of Rogues, the legendary "Golden Eyes" the mighty. The Rogue's mission is to track down a golden idol, which will allow them to trade with the Light and Dark Silhouettes that live outside of the Eternal Desert, where the Guild's home base is located.

The Rogue has located the Gold Idol; it's located in a temple within the Eternal Desert. How easy.

No matter how easy the mission, all members of the Guild of Rogues are taught to stock up and prepare first. Better get ready! Even to a Sandman like the Rogue, the Eternal Desert can be harsh.

The Rogue has his Holo-Suit, a bodysuit that allows him to turn invisible, his Trusty Sword, and his Rogue's Mask. He also has 1100 gold, but he doesn't recall how he got that much gold.

Other than that, he doesn't have much on him.

Perhaps there's some stuff in the chests in his AWESOME hideout?

The Rogue agrees wholeheartedly! Such awesomeness can only be viewed by a fellow as awesome as he is.

The hideout is quite small, around the size of a large shed, with a table in the center. On the wall is a map of the Eternal Desert, with a bit X marking the location of the Golden Idol. There's also a chest in the corner full of sweet L00T.

While not terribly interesting, this stuff can be of use. They are all added to the Rogue's inventory.
