Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon Coming to 3DS

A new Pokemon game was announced today and it is part of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series. This new game is called Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon.
Pokemon.com had this to say about Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon:
With dungeon layouts that change every time you enter them, the fun never ends! Battle alongside Legendary and Mythical Pokémon to save the world from a crisis in a tale of unprecedented scale.
Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon will be released on the 3DS. These games will be released during Autumn 2015 in Japan, Winter 2015 in North America and Spring 2016 for Europe.

    *shudders with concern*

I bet this is gonna be fremium and "battle alongside legendary pokemon" makes me think that it's gonna be

    a) just as bad as, or
    b) WORSE THAN

Gates to Infinity. I don't have high hopes for this thing.

Considering the fairly long wait it kinda seems it might not be freemium but a whole proper game rather than just recycling games like shuffle and rumble world.

I am kind of sick of the same old spin offs though. PMD is great but how about making something for WiiU? What about announcing a main series game to actually keep the fandom interested, even if it doesn't come out for ages. Heck, putting up a page with a pic of Zygarde and "it's coming" would send the internet into a frenzy of speculation for at least a few weeks. xD

I suppose so. I mean, we can only hope. xD

I've ALWAYS wanted them to do a really cool large-scale open world RPG like Elder Scrolls or something, but pokemon. Instead they stick to things aimed at eight year olds. Um, HELLO? You don't have to FORCE yourselves to appeal to one audience!

More PMD? My prayers have been answered. I mean sure, pulling a Scott Cawthon on us would probably to Nintendo better than this but given how much I love Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, I'm hype about this. I'm so hype.

I love the PMD series, and I'm honestly ashamed I haven't played Gates to Infinity yet.

I'm glad they're keeping the series alive though. I'm interested to see what kind of direction this goes towards and how it intends to differ itself from the others.

OH MY GOSH THIS GAME LOOKS SO EXCITING. My only beef with Gates to Infinity was the lack of starter choices and lack of Pokemon in general, but this game has all 720 (excluding Volcanion, presumably), as well as all starter Pokemon to choose from!! It looks amazing in this trailer, and I'm so excited!

Corey, it barely shows anything of the gameplay. xD I just hope it's not a freemium game. *crosses fingers* and that it's better than GATES TO INFINITY. :<
