I do like the Bulbasaur lineless, but the fact that you colored the outlines to be pretty light on its bulb and chin make it look as if it has a backlight...which, actually, is a neat effect. Lineless sprites are actually a cool way to play with a more painterly style of pixel art, focusing on shapes and form instead of lines. This being said, why not try some more of those?

I also agree with Xanthe in the GSS thread to try to emulate a pattern on a Pokemon's body. Stripes are great, like she said, because they have to follow the Pokemon's form in order to be effective! :D
