    Banned from stores stories

Ever been banned, kicked out, or escorted from the premises of a store or other location? Tell us that story here.

Probably my most infamous stories among my friends are the various stories of me getting banned from many stores. Where do I start? Hm... I guess with CVS.

So, for those who don't know, CVS is one of those chain convenience stores/pharmacies. They sell everything from drinks to medicine to cosmetics to beach chairs. Anyway, there is a CVS near where I went to elementary and middle school. So, when I was in the third grade, some of my friends in middle school took me to said CVS and made me pay for something (I believe a pack of gum that was like $5) in pennies. The cashier was little ticked when this eight year old walks up, dumps over 500 pennies on his desk and tells him she wants a pack of gum. The guy didn't even count the pennies. He just stuck them all in the cash register and told me to go find my parents. Several years later, when I was in the eighth grade, I went back to that CVS. I was in a play so me and two play buddies went to the CVS to buy snacks for the play group. So I go in, get all the requested items, go up the cash register and get ready to pay when the cashier says "I'm sorry you aren't allowed to purchase these items." I look up from my wallet in shock and just stared at the guy. He was dead serious. I had to get one of my friends to come in and buy the items. As it turns out, that CVS has a strict no penny paying policy and, even though I was only 8, that was grounds to get me banned from the store. They apparently have a picture of me from the security cameras and the guy recognized me five years later. Crazy, yes I know. But it's a legit story.

Let's see... where else am I banned from? Ah! Lowes. Lowes is a hardware store and they have this section that's filled with paint swatches to help customers determine what colors they want to paint their houses. They're supposed to be free, but, back when I was in middle school, there was a rule that said only five per customer. My neighbors and I (two from the house on my right and one from a house down the street) decided we'd make a game out of these paint swatches. We called it Paint Swatch Run. Pretty much, we all took turns running into the paint section, taking as many swatches as we can, then seeing if we can make it out of the door. While I've never actually been caught (I make it out of the door every time), they do have me and my friends' pictures in the paint section. According to a friend of mine who works in the paint section, they're told to let us grab the swatches but the employees have to catch us before we get out the door.

Lastly, I've been kicked out of 14 different Walmarts in the country. Three in South Carolina, one in North Carolina, two in Tennessee, one in Georgia (twice), one in Nevada, one in Nebraska, three in New York, and two in Florida. Long story short, it's on my bucket list to be kicked out of 365 different Walmarts using the list my friend sent me three years ago.

My concern more lay with the fact that he was still working there five years later.

I have a list of 365 ways to get kicked out. Though not all of them were on purpose. Here's what I've done:
First SC: Fell asleep on the furniture (purposeful)
Second SC: Knocked over the baby powder rack and caused a mini explosion (accidental)
Third SC: Drove around in a Barbie car making sure to hit people (purpose)
First NC: Knocking CDs off the display shelves, waiting while an employee fixes them, then repeat until kicked out (purpose)
First Tennessee: Fired a cork gun and knocked over a bicycle display (accident)
Second Tennessee: Hid in the clothes rack circles, then we people walked by I jumped out screaming "AIYEEEEEE!!" (purpose)
First Georgia: Tripped on carpet and tackled the manager of the furniture section (accident)
Second Georgia (same location as the first): Bought a deck of yu-gi-oh cards and ran around challenging people to a d-d-d-d-duel! (Purpose)
First Nevada: Tapped a walkie-talkie to the back of a Barbie doll and whenever someone walked past I would say "I know where you live." (Purpose)
First Nebraska: Set all the alarm clocks to go off every ten minutes (purpose)
First NY: Baby dropped its rattle, I stepped on it and broke it, the mother proceeded to throw a hissy fit (accident)
Second NY: Ran through the make-up department yelling "There's a dead body in aisle 3!" (Purpose)
Third NY: Hid inside gym bags and popped out whenever someone walked by yelling "What year is it!" (Purpose)
First Florida: Brought a rubber knife into the store (accident)
Second Florida: Glued pennies head side up to the floor (purpose)

That is the most amazing thing I have ever heard. lmfao. I started dying laughing when I read that. It almost sounds worth getting kicked out for.

Never been kicked out of anywhere though. I'd never have it in me to do anything like that intentionally that could get me kicked out.

I've never been kicked out of a store but I have done the kicking out of people... do those count?

Also the no penny paying policy... isn't that still legal tender in the states, therefore how the heck do they get away with kicking you out for that?

Though I do have one where people were kicked out of a Wal-Mart where I worked because they had a perfume fight in the middle of the store. Needless to say the aroma spread throughout the entire store and I got to stand there gagging for a few hours. Yay asthma!

I was kicked out of La Porchetta in Greensborough one time because I went there with my mates but was on a budget so went through the drivethrough at maccas. They saw me walk in and kicked me out.

Then I wore a Slenderman Costume in Epping Plaza. Was approached by security about three times that night, demanding I take off the mask haha.

@Saraibre Ryu You are correct, it is legal tender. However, because many stores don't have to have to count out the pennies for an item, they usually have store policies that say items over x dollar amount cannot be paid for in pennies. It's not that uncommon where I lived. I was just eight at the time and didn't know any better.
@Comatose Very nice with the Slenderman costume. Most restaurants in the USA won't kick you out if you bring in food from other places, though it helps that I look like a ten year old so they just assume I'm having to be "dragged along" and they're feeding me food they know I like and blah. Very helpful.

@Caite-chan More like don't take me to Walmart since I tend to knock stuff over or get mischievous and do something stupid.
