Kalos Champion Corey
I'm cisgender, so I go by he/his pronouns. When I do drag, I'd have no problem being called by female pronouns, though (I typically refer to drag queens by she/her pronouns if they have no preference, otherwise I call them by their preference). I'm adamant about using the right pronouns and respecting desired pronouns, though. I don't see it as my place to decide what someone should be referred to as, and I don't feel as if I should judge someone for their preferred pronouns. I think it's horribly disrespectful to use non-preferred pronouns purposefully if you know them. I could totally understand getting upset if you're not called by your desired pronouns (I probably wouldn't lash out at the offender, but you never know what someone else is going through - it could be a huge trigger to be called by a pronoun you don't want to be called by).
I just don't understand why some people are so adamant about disregarding pronouns and using biological sex ("but what does your birth certificate say?") to demonize the non-cis, even though sex and gender are not related (especially if you're not cis)...It's so discourteous.
