Once its perfect, then you can buy the cards and you only end up with the ones you want! I find it crazy that the most expensive card in Magic the Gathering (Black Lotus in the Alpha set) is about $15,000. I really wish I got one when it was only a few hundred bucks by in 1995. But yeah, with a value like that, you wouldn't even want to play with it!

But yeah, I have a friend who prints proxy cards, which is helpful considering I ask for his help when it comes to playing with some of the more pricy cards. But yeah, 99% of my cards are legit. If I were to ever go to tournaments, it would be a quick and easy thing to just swap out the proxy cards for legal ones. I maybe only use two in each EDH Commander deck I have.

True. I don't feel as guilty with Magic cards considering if I were to get tired of the game, it's possible to resell the cards and make back most of the money (or potentially make a profit depending on if the value went up enough).

I have also spent money on virtual fluff also. It's not a big deal, if you put it to good use one way or another, then it's not a waste.
