Thanks! In essence:

Wildcaster - Secret of Taika (the one undergoing editor review)
Wildcaster - The Dark Season (one I'm writing now)

So yeah, while Secret of Taika undergoes professional editor review (I'm really curious to know what she thinks of it so far, but I'll see in time), I work on the sequel. But I'm really hoping that I can at least get Secret of Taika published. It was a heck of a lot of fun to write and it's been the first truly complete story I've finished (that wasn't a fan fiction). I poured my heart and countless hours of energy and inspiration into coming up with loads of new and interesting fantasy races, a neat magic system (magic in Wildcaster is called Taika, hence the title), and a really fun storyline with plenty of great characters that blends high-level fantasy with some hilarity and chuckle-worthy narrative. Heck, parts I haven't looked at for a while that I reread even cause me to laugh.

"Wildcaster - The Dark Season" is the sequel that I'm working on now (and I anticipate a third book will probably be needed as there are so many interesting loose ends to work with). There are some events in Dark Season that I might be chopping out later. Sometimes I flesh out an idea just to see what it looks like on paper, but there's always room to clip it out if I feel it just doesn't fit with the ending I'm leaning toward or the word count starts to creep too much over 100k. It all depends on how it rolls along and if I think certain events are still needed or should be taken out because better ideas come up that make them obsolete or they just don't seem to work like I thought they would. Secret of Taika had undergone some pretty deep revisions since the first draft, but I really like how it all came together.

Anyway, just figured I'd mention that in case you were curious. Still, good luck on your interview! Any place would be very lucky to have you!

As for my goals, I didn't get too many job applications done, but I at least nailed the cleaning, which took over two hours of dusting, vacuuming, and swiffering. I honestly didn't think I'd get around to that today, but I nailed it and I'm glad I did. It's nuts how much dust accumulates in so little time.
