I don't really like swearing when its directed at other people. It intimidates me a bit. And I think there's a time and place for it and that it shouldn't really be done in public around little kids and stuff. I do agree about the swearing at other people, unless you're joking and you both know that is the case. xD I keep that to a bare minimum, only when I'm really angry at someone. Which is usually only on the road. Chances are when I call someone an ***, I'm teasing them. xD But yeah, cursing AT someone, I'd say, IS 100% meant to intimidate / provoke them. And when you're angry at someone, doing that isn't the healthiest way to go about solving the problem!

I am guilty of cursing around kids, but it's always by accident and I feel either embarassed or annoyed afterwards. Embarassed if I catch myself; annoyed if someone calls me out for it. Because, while people should watch what they say around kids...parents should have responsibility, too. You can't shield your kids from everything, after all, and it isn't that bad if they hear a passing curse word out in public. So the responsibility, imho, goes both ways!
