Yeah, if someone who does stuff like that comes along to do that kind of thing and they don't care we're still in the house, I'd rather not be looking at the edge of a switch knife when I see them and not have some kind of response. And calling the police isn't good enough if way too much can happen while they're on their way (I've had to dial 911 before, they're not very fast at all and it was a good 15 minutes of staying on the line before we got help). That, and if the rest of the world goes to hell in a hand-basket, I don't want a firearm to be one of those things we "wish we got when we had the chance" but can no longer get.

    And donuts are always good, but I wish they were healthier. :x
    Yikes Neo, that's really scary D: I don't blame you for wanting a gun to defend yourself. They still freak me out though! Handling anything deadly stresses me out though. I hate knives and cancer-causing chemicals in the lab as well haha!

    Also yeah Neo I totally agree there. My parents are really pre cautious like that too. Things just get out of hand sometimes today and we can't rely on just calling the police, but even worse we gotta be careful how it's handled now too cause of all these "tensions" with shootings lately.

    We had someone break into our house next door one day. They tried forcing open the front door, but they couldn't break down the door to Fort Knox so they broke the window next to it and opened the window and just climbed in. Surprisingly they must've had limited space because some big ticket items weren't picked up. Mainly some jewelry and ammunition was taken. All DVDs, video games, DVD players and game systems were still there. Few things were thrown about, but it left us thinking it must've been someone we knew, but we never figured it out. Still best to always be prepared for the worst before the fact right?
    I hope your computer works this time! For $1700, it must be pretty awesome! :D

    Geez I didn't realise robberies were so common! It's odd what people decide to steal sometimes.

    You first need to go to your local police station to get the forms for the State of NJ Firearms Purchaser Identification Card (don't get the ones online like I did, I found out the hard way they were outdated and I had to do them all over again with the most recent versions that only the police station had). If you have any criminal background, history of domestic violence, alcoholism, or history of mental disorders, you might not be able to get it. Once you fill out the forms, you also need to indicate two people that are not family or relatives that can vouch for you. And yep, those two people will get forms also, so you might want to give them a heads up about it (and I didn't know this and never told them about it, so it made for a fun conversational piece the next time I met them! >.<). After all that gets done and approved, you need to get fingerprinted (at a place different from the police station. I had to drive 45 minutes out of the way to the place where I had it done.). After that, you go back to the police station and the rest of the stuff gets taken care of and if it's all good, you'll get the card. But yes, it was quite a few hours of paperwork, processing, and driving from place to place.

    Also, if you're buying a handgun, you need to fill out a whole other series of forms for each handgun you want to buy. So if you want three separate handguns, you need to do the same pistol permit paperwork three times over and the police station needs to sign off on each of them. Also, those forms expire in about three months, so you shouldn't get those forms filled out unless you already know what handgun you want to get. Mine expired because I wanted to do some research first before buying and I ran out of time. But, if you're buying a rifle or a shotgun, you don't need additional applications (weird, I know).

    And when you go to the gun store, you're also going to need to fill out a bunch of forms when making a purchase (regardless of what gun you're buying). Plan on spending an hour there, that's how long it took for me when I brought the Mossberg 590A1 I have. But yeah, take the training courses before buying the firearm. Besides avoiding the extra paperwork, I found I prefer using shotguns and rifles than pistols (and I'm a much better shooter with those). I'm glad I did that, because I kind of have bigger hands, so it feels a little cumbersome to have them all over a pistol while in the case of a shotgun or rifle, I feel I have more control over it.
    Well jeez. That's a lot of stuff. XD

    The last thing I bought was probably...lip gloss LOL. I need to go get more makeup, like, soon, but no one wants to go with me. >:(

    As for firearms, I think they're not doing enough stuff LOL. I'm scared to death of guns and I will never, ever have one in my house. All these shootings in America show me that they need to keep piling on more and more regulations, because, clearly, what we have now isn't enough! I'm totally with Sarah on this one...I hate holding any kind of weaponry. I've never even shot a gun and I never plan to. Like, you basically have someone's life in your hands. O__________O

    IKR? D: It's like my life revolves around working so I can buy petrol lol. I LOVED it when petrol prices were down to .99c or whatever, now they're back up to $1.24. ;n;

    Tried soy milk and I was okay with it at first... and then very quickly got sick of it. >.<

    Anyway, as a less-controversial item, I just brought some frozen yogurt, and it was delicious.

    Aww I'm sorry, I was just joking :( Soy milk is very healthy so good on you for drinking it. I hate all milk in general so I would have said the same thing if it was regular milk. xD It was still rude though, I'm sorry!
